How do I receive the funds I raise?

We utilize Stripe Connect Express to handle all transactions securely. By visiting Settings > Billing & PRO, you can link your bank account directly to your FreeFund profile. Once a donor contributes to your campaign, the funds bypass our platform entirely and are routed directly into your connected Stripe balance.

When will my money arrive in my bank account?

For newly linked accounts, Stripe enforces a standard 7 to 14-day delay for the very first payout to complete compliance and identity verification. After this initial period clears, your payouts transition to an automated 2-business-day rolling schedule. You can view your exact estimated payout dates by clicking "View Stripe Dashboard" in your FreeFund settings.

What are the fees associated with FreeFund?

FreeFund operates with radical transparency. We charge a 0% platform fee. However, standard Stripe credit card processing fees (approximately 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction) do apply and are automatically deducted by Stripe before the funds reach your connected bank account.

Do supporters need an account to contribute?

No. We believe in removing all barriers to mutual aid. Anyone can support a campaign instantly as a guest without creating an account.

What is the difference between Flexible and Fixed Funding?

During campaign creation, you will choose a funding type:

• Flexible (Auto-Expanding): When you hit your goal or get near it (specifically, reaching 90% of your target), your target automatically increases by 50% so your campaign can seamlessly continue to grow without artificial ceilings.
• Fixed (Set Goal): You have a standard, set goal. When you reach it, the goal does not expand, although supporters can still continue to donate and over-fund your campaign if they wish.

Can I edit my campaign after launching?

Yes. By navigating to your profile and selecting My Campaigns, you can click "Edit" on any active goal to update your story, adjust the target, or modify reward tiers.

What is FreeFund PRO?

FreeFund PRO is an optional $7 lifetime upgrade designed for digital creators. It unlocks priority algorithm placement on the discovery feed, the ability to inject custom hex code branding, deeper analytics, and access to advanced premium stream overlay animations (like Fireworks and Matrix rain).

How do the stream overlays work?

If you are a streamer on platforms like Twitch, YouTube, or TikTok LIVE, you can integrate your campaign directly into your broadcast. Open your campaign and click Overlay Studio. Customize your widget (choose between OBS Horizontal or TikTok Vertical layouts), and copy the unique URL into your broadcasting software as a "Browser Source." When you receive a donation, the widget will trigger live, on-screen celebration animations automatically!

Is my personal and financial data secure?

Absolutely. FreeFund never stores sensitive financial information, Social Security Numbers, or bank routing details on our servers. All financial data, identity verification, and payment processing is securely encrypted and managed entirely by Stripe, the industry standard for online payment infrastructure.
