Privacy Notice
FreeFund collects information needed to provide accounts, campaigns, contributions, payouts, support, safety, and fraud prevention.
Information collected
- Account and profile information such as name, handle, email, biography, Firebase identifier, avatar, and banner.
- Campaign content, images, updates, comments, targets, categories, and creator settings.
- Contribution records such as Stripe references, amount, campaign, donor attribution preference, and receipt email. FreeFund does not store full card numbers, bank account numbers, or government identity documents submitted to Stripe.
- Technical and security information such as IP-derived rate-limit records, timestamps, request logs, browser information, and fraud signals.
- Legal, copyright, safety, privacy, refund, and support reports.
How information is used
We use information to operate FreeFund, authenticate users, publish campaigns, process and reconcile payments, send transactional email, prevent abuse, respond to legal and privacy requests, enforce rules, and improve reliability.
Public information
Campaigns, creator names, handles, profile images, campaign images, updates, comments, and public donor attribution can be visible to anyone. Donors may choose anonymous public attribution before checkout. Financial records remain available to FreeFund and payment providers even when public attribution is hidden.
Service providers
FreeFund uses service providers including Stripe, Firebase/Google, MongoDB, Render, email delivery providers, and approved image-hosting providers. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
When an account is deleted, FreeFund removes it from ordinary use and keeps a limited reactivation archive for up to 30 days unless a legal hold applies. Financial, fraud, tax, dispute, moderation, and legal records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary or legally required. Hosted images may require separate provider deletion.
Your choices
You may update your profile, choose anonymous donor attribution, request account deletion, or submit an access, correction, deletion, or privacy inquiry through the report form. FreeFund does not sell personal information for money.
Children
FreeFund is not intended for children under 13. Do not create an account or submit personal information if you are under 13.
